Galesburg Event to Feature Local Figure 8 Stars
ANDERSON, Ind. (July 27, 2015)
— The Interstate Auto Auction Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) today announced that interest from local Michigan Figure 8 drivers continues to grow leading up to Sunday evening’s Galesburg Speedway event. The traveling Late Model Figure 8 Series will be visiting Galesburg Speedway on Sunday August 2 for a huge 50-lap feature.

Sunday’s event will be the first time-ever that the WOFS has competed in the state of Michigan and only the third time-ever that a V-8 traveling Figure 8 series has competed in Michigan. Full Story

 

WOFS Figure 8's Set to Invade Michigan in August
ANDERSON, Ind. (July 20 , 2015)
— The Interstate Auto Auction Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) is less than a month away from it’s first-ever appearance in the state of Michigan. The traveling Late Model Figure 8 Series will be visiting Galesburg Speedway on Sunday August 2 for a huge 50-lap feature.

The event is shaping up to be a huge North versus South event as several Michigan drivers have expressed interest in competing against the invading drivers from Indiana and Kentucky. The event will pay $1500 to win and $200 to start. The relatively flat ¼ mile Galesburg Speedway Figure 8 course is expected to produce competitive racing amongst the North and South competing drivers. Full Story

 

Mark Tunny Uses Patience, Captures Anderson Event
ANDERSON, Ind. (July 4 , 2015)
— Mark Tunny used patience to capture the Interstate Auto Auction Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) event Saturday night at Anderson Speedway. The win came in Tunny’s first career WOFS start. A near capacity crowd was on hand to witness the second stop on the 2015 WOFS calendar.

Tunny witnessed two different leaders make contact with slower cars at the intersection before he inherited the lead on lap 27. Early race leader Austin Tunny began to check out on the field before making contact with Mike Hadley Jr. on lap 19. Ben Tunny assumed the point until he made contact with Dennis Whisman on lap 26. Mark Tunny assumed the lead at that point and never looked back en-route to his first career WOFS victory and a $1500 payday. Full Story
