WOFS Releases 2015 Schedule
ANDERSON, Ind. (February 5, 2014)
- The Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) today announced its 2015 schedule. The Interstate Auto Auction WOFS series will be returning to Anderson Speedway a handful of time highlighted with an appearance at two new tracks.

The season kicks off March 28 at Anderson Speedway with an open practice scheduled the night before. This will be the first of four visits to ‘The World’s Fastest Quarter Mile’. Other visits to Anderson Speedway include the July 4 ‘Figure 8 Madness’ event and again on September 5 and October 10. The September 5 event will be a part of the ‘Labor Day 200’ Must See Racing winged sprint car event. Full Story


WOFS Announces Banquet Details
ANDERSON, Ind. (November 5, 2014)
- The banquet will take place Saturday December 6, 2014 at the U.A.W. #663 in the Vic & Sophia Reuther Union Hall at 2840 South Madison Ave. in Anderson, located just East of Anderson Speedway.

Meet and greet will take place at 6pm, dinner at 7pm, and the awards banquet will begin at 8pm. Over $4,500 in point fund monies will be given out in addition to trophies and other awards. Mike Hadley Jr. will be officially crowned 2014 WOFS champion. Jacob Garrigus will be awarded 2014 Rookie of the Year, and the top ten drivers in the 2014 point standings will be recognized.

Jesse Tunny Wins Season Finale
ANDERSON, Ind. (October 11, 2014)
-   Jesse Tunny was able to get inside of early leader Mike Riddle Jr. with an outside pass on the back straight to score the victory in the season finale for the Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series at Anderson (IN) Speedway on Saturday, October 11.

Tunny had to hold off Jason Garrigus, who set a new track record during qualifications, for the final 37 laps

Lake County Canceled; WOFS Season Championship Up Next

-  The Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) announced today that the race scheduled for this Saturday night September 27 at Lake County Speedway in Painesville, OH has been canceled.  Full Story


Chris Green Nabs Overdue Anderson Victory
ANDERSON, Ind. (September 13, 2014)
-  Chris Green captured his first career Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) feature victory on Saturday, September 13 at Anderson Speedway. The win was long overdue, as bad luck had eluded the Indianapolis driver several potential wins at Anderson Speedway, prior to Saturday.
Green led all 50 laps chased by series point leader Michael Hadley Jr., Fred Bear Jr., and Jacob Garrigus for most of the night.
Jacob Garrigus grabbed the second spot from Hadley on lap 41, but as he want up to challenge for the win lost control coming off the second corner on lap 42.
Garrigus spun back across the track and collected Fred Bear, who had been running fourth.

 WOFS Now Part of Community Hospital Paint the Night Pink at
Anderson Speedway in October

ANDERSON, Ind. (August 19, 2014)
-  Anderson Speedway's originally scheduled Paint the Night Pink Presented by UAW on Saturday, October 4 has been moved to Saturday, October 11. Community Hospital is now the primary sponsor of this special event.

The headline events on October 11 for the Community Hospital Paint the Night Pink Presented by UAW include the Winged Outlaw Figure-8 Series (WOFS) and USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series built by the UAW. Both races will be 50 laps in distance . Mel Kenyon Midgets and Mini Cups will also be part of the race program.


Ben Tunny Claims 65th National Crown
ANDERSON, Ind. (August 9, 2014)
-  Ben Tunny held off a hard-charging Mike Hadley Jr. to win the 65th annual National Crown on Saturday, August 9 at Anderson Speedway. It was Tunny’s second Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) feature victory of the year.

Tunny’s win also snapped a streak of four different winners in 2014 WOFS competition. Tunny is the first repeat winner in 2014 WOFS competition. Full Story
