Hadley Holds On to Win Anderson Thriller

ANDERSON, Ind. (April 11 , 2015)
— Defending Interstate Auto Auction WOFS champion Mike Hadley Jr. held on to win the WOFS season opener Saturday at Anderson Speedway. The victory was Hadley’s second career WOFS victory and first at Anderson Speedway.

Ben Tunny got the night started off setting quick time with a lap of 16.951 seconds around the high-banked speedway.

Pole sitter Hadley got the lead at the drop of the green but was pursued closely by Chis Harmon, Ben Tunny, and Jesse Tunny. Hadley began to build a sizeable lead as the battle for second between trio was tight. At one point, Hadley had a straightaway size lead. On lap 21 Harmon was forced to take evasive action to avoid hitting Jeff Swinford at the intersection falling to fourth. Full Story



2015 Interstate Auto Auction Season Begins on Saturday

ANDERSON, Ind. (April 6 , 2015)
— The 2015 season for the Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) is set to kick off April 11 at Anderson Speedway. Defending champion Mike Hadley Jr. headlines a stout field as he prepares to defend his 2014 championship.

Fans will notice several changes in 2015 as well as a cast of new drivers. The series welcomed the addition of Interstate Auto Auction as its title sponsor on March 14th.

New for 2015 will be the reduction in the size of the wings to a maximum of 60”in height. The series made the change in an effort to slow the cars down and create more parity in the racing action.  Full Story



Season Opener Postponed to April 11

ANDERSON, Ind. (March 24, 2014)
- Anderson Speedway officials postponed Opening Night featuring the Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series on Saturday, March 28 due to frigid temperatures. The Open Practice slated for Friday, March 27 has also been postponed.

The Interstate Auto Auction WOFS Figure 8’s will now run on April 11. Open Practice has been added to Friday, April 3 and April 10.


Interstate Auto Auction Names WOFS Title Sponsor

ANDERSON, Ind. (March 4, 2014)
- The Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) today announced that Interstate Auto Auction will be the title sponsor for WOFS in 2015. IAA, Inc. is an Anderson based dealers only auto auction. An auto auction is held at its Columbus Avenue Anderson location every Monday at 5pm.

WOFS Managing Partner Steve Little expressed his excitement when announcing the partnership with IAA, Inc. “We’re glad to have Interstate Auto Auction as our new title sponsor” explained Little. “Obviously IAA President Colin Martin saw something he liked about what Dave (Sink) and I are doing with this series. I think this will be a great partnership. Our style of racing is a little different from other types of short track racing series. It is fresh and exciting and keeps fans on the edge of their seats.
