WOFS Now Part of Community Hospital Paint the Night Pink at
Anderson Speedway in October

ANDERSON, Ind. (August 19, 2014)
-  Anderson Speedway's originally scheduled Paint the Night Pink Presented by UAW on Saturday, October 4 has been moved to Saturday, October 11. Community Hospital is now the primary sponsor of this special event.

The headline events on October 11 for the Community Hospital Paint the Night Pink Presented by UAW include the Winged Outlaw Figure-8 Series (WOFS) and USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series built by the UAW. Both races will be 50 laps in distance . Mel Kenyon Midgets and Mini Cups will also be part of the race program.


Ben Tunny Claims 65th National Crown
ANDERSON, Ind. (August 9, 2014)
-  Ben Tunny held off a hard-charging Mike Hadley Jr. to win the 65th annual National Crown on Saturday, August 9 at Anderson Speedway. It was Tunny’s second Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) feature victory of the year.

Tunny’s win also snapped a streak of four different winners in 2014 WOFS competition. Tunny is the first repeat winner in 2014 WOFS competition. Full Story


65th National Crown Up Next at Anderson Speedway
ANDERSON, Ind. (August 6, 2014) -
The most prestigious race on the Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) schedule is just days away.

The 65th annual National Crown will feature the most laps and biggest payday for WOFS competitors. It is quickly becoming a fan favorite amongst Figure 8 fans in the area, as well as across the country, after its switch to an Outlaw Figure 8 race three years ago.

The famed Daytona 500 celebrated its 56th running this past February. But, the National Crown will celebrate its 65th running this Saturday, giving the event the distinction of being the nation’s oldest continuously ran stock car event. Full Story


Point's Leader Mike Hadley Jr. Sweeps KMS
WHITESVILLE, Ind. (August 3, 2014) -
Mike Hadley Jr. completed the sweep and captured the Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series (WOFS) feature at Kentucky Motor Speedway Sunday night, August 3.

Hadley lead all 50 laps from his pole starting position after setting quick time with a lap of 20.63 seconds. Hadley’s time was also a new track record.

Hadley was never seriously challenged for most of the race. The real battle of the night was between second and third position between Ronnie Basham III and RJ Norton Jr. Norton pressured him the majority of the race without success. Following Hadley to the line was: Basham III, Norton Jr., Calvin Crain, and Richard Dickens rounding out the top five.
